Continuation of the Chair

At the Annual Meeting on Wednesday 10th of May, the Council voted unanimously to elect Councillor Stephen Featherstone to continue in the position as the Chair and Councillor Ian Swainston as their Vice Chairman. The Council wish them well in their roles for the upcoming year, serving the community.

Prospective Football Team on Hayfield Park

The Council has been approached by a local Junior football team regarding using the football pitch at Hayfield Park for matches. The Council are keen to promote the use of the pitch and are working with the team to see if the proposal is suitable for both the team and the local community. The Council welcome community use.

Continued Support of the Auckley Show

The Council are offering their continued support to the Auckley Show through a donation and providing the accessible toilet. The Council wish the show committee the best for a successful show and local residents, an enjoyable day out.

Neighbourhood Plan Update

Doncaster Council formally adopted the Neighbourhood Plan for Auckley on the 19th of May 2023. Comments made during the recent consultation process now need to go through a formal review process before any adoption into the Plan can take place.

Parking on Pavements

Residents are reminded not to cause an obstruction if parking on pavements as this could be reported to the police. Residents are reminded that pedestrians with pushchairs and mobility scooters should be able to travel along the pavement unheeded. Consideration of people with visual disabilities should also be taken into account. Residents witnessing illegal behaviour are encouraged to report to the police at the time of viewing.
