Neighbourhood Plan Referendum
A referendum will be held on 20th April 2023 on the Auckley Neighbourhood Plan. Local residents will be asked whether they want the plan to be used by Doncaster Council for planning decision making in the neighbourhood area. The referendum version of the Neighbourhood Plan and associated documents are available to view in the Eagle & Child public house, 24 Main Street, Auckley between 11.30am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 10pm on Sunday from now until the 20th of April. Documents can also be viewed in Doncaster Council’s Civic Office, or online visit Doncaster Council’s website and search: Auckley Neighbourhood Planning Referendum. Look out for your voting cards for the upcoming referendum on this plan.
Hayfield Park- Recent Additions
Since taking over the ownership of Hayfield Park last year, the Council have made several improvements to the park including the addition of a defibrillator which may help to save the lives of the local community, a large triple section bin with a much larger capacity for waste as well as the moving and replacement of the old fence with a metal fence. The moving of the fence has created extra space in the playground area and the Council are looking into the addition of swings. Please let the Clerk know your thoughts on this addition.
King’s Coronation
Following on from consultation regarding ideas for the King’s Coronation, the Council have decided not to proceed with a public event due to the lack of public support. The Council will decorate the bridge with bunting to mark the occasion.
Dog Fouling
The Council would like to remind residents to pick up their dog’s mess. Several areas have been noted for mess being left and the Council have requested the use of the yellow dog fouling stencil by Doncaster Council.
Further PCSO Drop- ins – Let us know
Following on from the PCSO drop in which took place on Wednesday 22nd of February, the Council would like to gauge interest in holding a further drop in in the summer. Please let us know your thoughts on timings and venue by contacting the Clerk.
